Robert Rodriguez is currently busy plotting his next movie Hypnotic, and he found the perfect person to take the lead. Ben Affleck will take on the main role in this promising action thriller.
Hypnotic tells the story of a detective who’s trying to solve a mystery that involves his missing daughter, a secret government program, and a string of impossible high-end heists. Rodriguez wrote the script alongside Max Borenstein, and he’ll be in charge of directing it.
Hollywood studio Solstice will produce this project alongside Studio 8. Their CEO Jeff Robinov had a chance to work with Affleck on his previous movies The Town and Argo, and he’s certain his collaboration with Rodriguez will lead to something truly extraordinary.
“It’s very meaningful to be collaborating with Ben again on this uniquely riveting suspense thriller, and I know he and Robert will make a terrific film together,” said Robinov in a statement.
Ben Affleck most recently starred in Triple Frontier alongside Oscar Isaac and Charlie Hunnam. We’ll next get to see him in sports drama The Way Back and crime mystery The Last Thing He Wanted.
