We’ve thought Ben Affleck’s days of playing Bruce Wayne are long behind him, but he’s ready to don the Batsuit once again. He’s set to return as the Dark Knight in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom alongside his Justice League co-star Jason Momoa.

Aquaman himself spilled the news on social media, sharing a photo that shows him having the time of his life with Affleck behind the scenes of their upcoming film.

“REUNITED bruce and arthur. love u and miss u Ben WB studio tours just explored the backlot alright. busted on set all great things coming AQUAMAN 2 all my aloha j,” wrote Momoa on Instagram.

It’s been five years since the last time Affleck played the iconic superhero. He made his debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and went on to reprise the role in the 2017 Justice League, also starring Momoa as Aquaman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

Affleck already filmed his scenes as the Batman for the upcoming film The Flash, where he’ll share the iconic role with Michael Keaton. This film is set to premiere on June 23, 2023, and it will be preceded by Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom on March 17, 2023.
