B.J. Novak’s previously untitled comedy anthology series has a title and an all-star lineup.
Created, written, and hosted by Novak, The Premise has added Ben Platt, Tracee Ellis Ross, Daniel Dae Kim, Lola Kirke, Soko, Jermaine Fowler, Ayo Edebiri, and Eric Lange to previously announced cast members Lucas Hedges, Kaitlyn Dever, Jon Bernthal, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ed Asner, George Wallace, Boyd Holbrook, and Beau Bridges.
The Premise is set to debut on FX with two episodes on September 16. The half-hour series uses comedy to engage with the biggest issues facing the modern era, combining comedic premises with dramatic performances.
Novak and Josh Lesher are executive producing the series and FX Productions is producing.
