Congratulations are in order for Bennifer! Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have made their relationship official by saying “I do”. The couple took out a marriage license in Clark County, Nevada over the weekend.
The nuptials mark a significant point for the pair whose love affair initially began back in the 2000s. The actors got to know each other in 2001 on the set of their doomed film Gigli, but the “On the Floor” singer was still married to her second husband, Cris Judd, at the time. Following her divorce, Lopez and Affleck began a relationship of their own and soon became Hollywood’s “it” couple.
Although it led to an engagement, Bennifer called time on their two-year relationship before heading down the aisle. Jennifer went on to marry singer Marc Anthony, which whom she has two children; while the Argo actor wed fellow star, Jennifer Garner, and had three kids.
Having always stayed in touch, Ben and Jen rekindled their romance in April 2021, following their respective divorces. They announced their engagement the next April and have made sure that this one reached fruition!
The ceremony took place in Las Vegas with the Grammy winner said to have changed her legal name to Affleck. She revealed on her blog that she wore a dress from an old movie and that the lovebirds were surrounded by their children.
“We did it,” wrote the singer. ”Love is beautiful. Love is kind. And it turns out love is patient. Twenty years patient. Exactly what we wanted. Last night we flew to Vegas, stood in line for a license with four other couples, all making the same journey to the wedding capital of the world.”
