Beyoncé and Jay-Z achieved a lot – both as a couple and as individuals – and they’ll be adding a GLAAD Media Award to their long list of accomplishment. This organization will celebrate the power couple with one of their special awards.

Musical duo will be presented with a GLAAD Vanguard Award, created specifically for LGBTQ allies who made a huge difference. GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis said she couldn’t be prouder to announce they’re the latest recipients of this prestigious honor.

“Beyoncé and JAY-Z are global icons and passionate defenders of human rights and acceptance for all people. When Beyoncé and JAY-Z speak, the world becomes inspired and when it comes to LGBTQ people, their voices of acceptance have been heard loud and clear,” said Ellis.

The Carters will be presented with this award in Los Angeles on March 28. This won’t be the first time Jay-Z to picks up GLAAD’s special recognition. He was honored for discussing his mother’s process of coming out in the song Smile.
