“Black Skin Girl” was one of the many fantastic songs featured on Beyoncé’s latest visual album Black is King. Many fans were hoping she’ll release it as a separate music video after watching this film, and Queen Bey decided to answer their prayers.

The Jenn Nkiru-directed video for “Black Skin Girl” was cut from the original film, and it’s just as amazing as you remember it. Saint Jhn and Wizkid recorded this song alongside Beyoncé and her daughter Blue Ivy, but the music video also features Kelly Rowland, Naomi Campbell, and Lupita Nyong’o.

Before being uploaded to Beyoncé’s YouTube channel, the video premiered on Good Morning America. The singer released a brief statement saying that Jenn Nkiru made sure to shoot each character in a regal light, in an attempt to represent all different shades of brown.

Before being featured in Black is King, “Brown Skin Girl” was released as a part of the 2019 album The Lion King: The Gift. The track was praised by critics following its release, and it even made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
