It’s been a few weeks since Beyonce started teasing her new album – and the more we learn about it, the more hyped we are! Queen B broke the internet again by unveiling a cover art for Renaissance and shared more details about her highly-anticipated seventh studio album.

The cover art shows Beyonce sitting atop a futuristic crystal horse, wearing a diamond-encrusted harness, designed by Nusi Quero. This outfit draws inspiration from her 2003 Dangerously in Love cover, while the equestrian imagery drew comparisons to Lady Godiva and Bianca Jagger.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the Grammy-winning artist explained that creating this album allowed her a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world, and she’s hoping it will do the same for everyone else.

“My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music,” wrote Beyonce on social media.

Renaissance will hit the shelves on July 29, and Queen B gave us a taste of things to come with the lead single “Break My Soul”, which debuted at no. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
