Bill Murray has been cast in Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly’s Quibi series The Now. The Ghostbusters star will appear in a recurring role opposite main cast Dave Franco, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Daryl Hannah.

Alyssa Milano will also appear in a recurring role. Jimmy Tatro, Rob Yang, and Lex Scott Davis round out the cast.

The short format series directed by the Farrellys follows Ed Poole (Franco), who finds clarity when a secret from his past emerges and seemingly destroys his future. Per Entertainment Weekly, an earlier description touted the show as the story of a suicidal man whose brother and father have already died by suicide.

The Now was co-written by Peter, Steve Leff, and Pete Jones.

Quibi is set to launch on April 6, 2020, and will feature “quick bites” of content running 10 minutes or less.
