Bill Murray to Receive Rome Film Fest Lifetime Achievement Award

The Rome Film Festival will honor Bill Murray with a Lifetime Achievement Award. 

The 2019 Rome Film Fest’s Lifetime Achievement Award goes to 68-years-old actor. The award will be handed to the veteran actor by his close friend and collaborator Wes Anderson.

Murray has appeared in every Anderson film since the director’s sophomore feature. Wes directed Murray in The Royal Tenenbaums, The Darjeeling Limited, Moonrise Kingdom and Grand Budapest Hotel, among others. 

The festival confirmed Monday that the two will take to the stage together for an “in conversation” session during the event which runs October 17-27. The festival’s lineup was also partially revealed and it includes over 40 films. Its Official Selection includes Ron Howard’s Pavarotti. 

The complete lineup will be announced at a press conference October 4.
