Billie Eilish recently surprised her fans with a brand new single “Therefore I Am”, accompanied by a colorful music video that shows her having the time of her life in an empty shopping mall.
The young singer directed her latest visual on her own and shot the entire thing on an iPhone. Throughout the video, she can be seen exploring an empty shopping mall, riding elevators, and trying different snacks from the food court.
Eilish discussed her latest single during an appearance on Zane Lowe’s Apple Music show, and described the video as “random” and “chaotic” and said it feels the same way as the song itself—“careless and not really trying.”
When it comes to the lyrics, the Grammy-winning singer said they’re “very up for interpretation”, adding she’s curious to see what people will feel when they hear this song.
“Therefore I Am” will be included on Eilish’s second studio album and she’ll perform it for the first time at the American Music Awards on November 22.
