Lockdowns proved to be creatively productive for many of our favorite artists, and Billie Eilish is no exception. The Grammy-winning singer recently revealed that she used her time in quarantine to record a whole new album.

Eilish discussed her creative journey during a recent appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and said she got more time off than she ever had while sheltering at home. She put that time to some good use and recorded the follow-up to her hit debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

“I don’t think I would’ve made the same album, or even the album at all if it weren’t for Covid. That doesn’t mean it’s about Covid at all, it’s just that, when things are different in your life, you’re different. That’s just how it is,” explained Eilish.

The “Bad Guy” singer is currently busy promoting the Apple TV+ documentary The World’s a Little Blurry, but that’s not the only amazing project she surprised us with recently. Eilish kicked 2021 off with her first collaboration “Lo Vas a Olvidar” featuring Rosalía.
