Billie Eilish is no stranger to topping the charts in her home country, but none of her songs managed to do the same in the UK – until now! The James Bond theme song “No Time to Die” became her first song to reach no. 1 on the British charts.

The success of this track is monumental for more reasons than one. It transformed Eilish into the first artist born in the 21st-century to top the chart, and that’s just the beginning. “No Time to Die” is also only the second James Bond theme song to reach no. 1 in the UK, and the first one recorded by a female artist.

This track officially hit the shelves on February 13th, but Eilish went beyond promoting it on social media platforms. She delivered the first live performance at the 2020 Brit Awards, where she also won the best international female solo artist award.

The Grammy-winning singer wrote “No Time to Die” while on a tour bus in Texas with her brother Finneas O’Connell, and they listened to all the previous theme songs during the songwriting process to make sure they were making something that doesn’t sound too familiar.
