“Birds Of Prey” Coming to Home Video Sooner Than Expected

Margot Robbie in "Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn"

Birds Of Prey took a hit on the box office, like many other movies that came out in the last few weeks, but it will soon be leaving the theaters and coming to home video. The Harley Quinn stand-alone movie will be released on video on demand in less than a week.

The Cathy Yan-directed film will be available on Amazon, iTunes, and other platforms on March 24th, less than two months after it came out. The director previously told Deadline she wouldn’t mind if Warner Bros. took this step in the face of current events.

Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) premiered on February 7th to positive reviews, but the box office numbers weren’t impressive. The film made $199.1 million against $82 million budget, making it a disappointment for Warner Bros.

Birds Of Prey saw Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad, and it followed the events after her breakup with Joker. The film also starred Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, and Ewan McGregor.
