“Ice Cream” is the very definition of a summer jam, and it proves that Blackpink and Gomez are truly a match made in heaven. They never met in person and filmed their scenes at different locations in South Korea and the U.S., but that didn’t stop this music video from being a true delight.
Gomez and the members of Blackpink discussed their mutual admiration on several occasions in the past. They wanted to work together for quite some time, and this song turned out to be a perfect fit because it was all about spreading good vibes and putting a smile on everyone’s face.
The music video for “Ice Cream” isn’t exactly plot-driven, but the colorful set locations, amazing dance moves, and extravagant outfits make up for its lack of storyline. This single will be featured on Blackpink’s upcoming first Korean-language studio album The Album, scheduled to be released on October 2nd.
