It’s been a while since Blackpink surprised us with some amazing new music and they’re finally ready for a comeback! The all-girl K-pop band is getting ready to drop a brand-new album next month, and they’ll support it with a large world tour later this year.

Blackpink’s comeback was confirmed by YG Entertainment, the company behind this K-pop powerhouse:

“A lot of Blackpink-esque music has been prepared over a long period of time. On top of new music and large-scale projects, Blackpink will also go on the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group by the end of the year to expand their rapport with fans worldwide.”

According to YG Entertainment’s announcement, their tour will “extend through the second half of the year”, but they’re yet to share additional details. The release date of the group’s new album is yet to be confirmed, but they’re planning to film a music video for one of the singles in mid-July.

Blackpink’s first Korean full-length album The Album came out in 2020 and debuted at no. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. It was preceded by hit singles “How You Like That” and “Lovesick Girls”, in addition to the A-list collaboration “Ice Cream” featuring Selena Gomez.
