It’s been two years since Blackpink graced us with an album, but the comeback single “Pink Venom” from their upcoming record Born Pink was worth the wait. The music video for this highly-anticipated song is finally here and it’s extravagant as it gets.

Blackpink’s label YG Entertainment said this visual had the highest production budget they have ever invested into a music video, and they definitely weren’t kidding. The cutting-edge visual will take you on one wild ride, shifting through countless futuristic settings, showing members of Blackpink rocking a wide array of show-stopping designer looks.

Blackpink members set down with Billboard to discuss the meaning behind their new single, and Jennie said “Pink Venom” perfectly captures the essence of Blackpink and proves they’re not straying away from their identity.

“Since ‘pink’ and ‘venom’ have contradicting images, we thought they were kind of reminiscent of us… we are named Blackpink and contradiction is our charm – we wanted to show that. It’s pink venom, a lovely poison, it’s words that most express us,” Jennie explained.

“Pink Venom” serves as the lead single from Blackpink’s upcoming second studio album Born Pink, set to hit the shelves on September 16. They’ll support this record by embarking on a world tour in October, described as the largest world tour by a K-pop girl group in history
