After a lot of anticipation, Blackpink’s new album Born Pink finally hit the shelves this Friday, and they found the most perfect way to celebrate its release. The K-pop girl group dropped a stylish music video for the new single “Shut Down”.

“Shut Down” is one of the group’s most extravagant visuals to date, and it shows Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa rocking a series of chic outfits as they dance on wet boardwalks, and drive in fast cars and on disco tanks.

“Shut Down” is the latest piece of the puzzle in telling the story of Born Pink, and the group’s label YG Entertainment promised this record is a whole new chapter for Blackpink.

“All the songs on the album are the crystals that will write a new story for Blackpink, but the title song, in particular, will be a song that will surprise world music fans. The music video will also elevate the status of K-Pop with a difference that has never been seen before,” reads YG Entertainment’s statement.

“Shut Down” was released as the second single from Blackpink’s second studio album Born Pink, which hit the shelves on September 16. It features a total of eight songs, including the lead single “Pink Venom” and promo single “Ready for Love”.
