It’s been almost two years since Blackpink dropped their first Japanese album Blackpink in Your Area, and its follow-up, which will be their debut Korean album, will hit the shelves this fall.

Blackpink’s upcoming LP will be simply tilted The Album and it’s set to be released on October 2nd. Despite the fact that this K-pop band never released a full-length album in their native country, they found success with EPs Square Up and Kill This Love and a recent singles album How You Like That.

The announcement comes shortly after Blackpink broke several major records with their latest single “How You Like That”. The music video for this song became YouTube’s most viewed video in its first 24 hours, with over 86.3 million views in a single day.

“How You Like That” isn’t the only hit song they released this year. Their Lady Gaga collaboration “Sour Candy” peaked at no. 33 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, becoming one of their top-charting songs to date.
