It’s been a while since Blackpink graced us with some new music, but they’re finally ready for a comeback! Their next studio album is just around the corner and they created some major buzz for this record with the music video for the lead single “Ready for Love”.
The animated visual is unlike any other that Blackpink shared in the past because they joined forces with PUBG Mobile to make it happen. This battle royale video game grew into one of the highest-grossing mobile games in the past few years, and it was amazing to watch the members of Blackpink immerse into its magical world.
“Ready for Love” marks the group’s first Korean release since The Album in 2020 and it’s the first promotional single from their upcoming record Born Pink. This album still doesn’t have an official release date, but it’s hitting the shelves in September.
The K-pop girl group is expected to drop another single before the album’s release in a few weeks and that’s just the beginning! They’re also expected to embark on a world tour in October and their label YG Entertainment described it as “the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group” back in July.
