The upcoming thriller, The Rhythm Section, starring Blake Lively, has met several difficulties during its production and it seems that its troubles are not over.

The movie was scheduled to go on screens on February 22 but its release date was moved back to the pre-thanksgiving weekend – November 22. Now, the date has been moved back again to January 31, 2020.

The movie, directed by Reed Morano, follows Lively as a woman whose family dies in a plane crash on a flight she was supposed to be on, who is set on proving to the world that the crash was not an accident but a terror attack that is being covered by intelligence agencies. She becomes an assassin and begins to track down the ones responsible for the incident.

The production of the movie was halted for several months following a hand injury of the star. It is possible that the reason for the new release date can be found in the movies that were set to compete with him in the holiday slot – especially Frozen 2. Now the movie will screen opposite United Artists’ Gretel and Hansel.
