The Bear is one of the most acclaimed shows on TV right now, and its second season just became even more exciting. Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk joined Season 2 of the hit dramedy series in the guest starring role.

The Bear follows a young chef from the world of fine dining who leaves his old life behind to run his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop in the wake of his brother’s suicide. He must work alongside the chaotic kitchen staff and try to turn his brother’s failing restaurant into a success story.

The Bear is led by Jeremy Allen White, who won a Golden Globe and SAG Award for his portrayal. The show’s supporting cast includes Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Abby Elliott, with Jon Bernthal and Joel McHale in guest starring roles. Odenkirk will join them in a mystery role, and he’s expected to appear in the guest starring capacity.

Odenkirk’s hit series Better Call Saul ended its run last year, and he’s already off to other creative endeavors. He’s currently leading AMC’s black comedy series Lucky Hank, which follows an English department chairman on the verge of a midlife crisis.
