Bob Odenkirk is set to make a guest voice appearance in season 31 of Fox’s iconic animated series.
The new season, set to air in the fall, will feature an animated appearance of Odenkirk’s character, which is a mob lawyer. Yep that’s right, the Better Call Saul star will star yet again as a shady lawyer with slippery interpretations of the law, but this time in yellow!
The episode is also a family affair bring penned by his brother Bill Odenkirk. They joked that “If we don’t get a good review from Mama Odenkirk, then we’re going to be in trouble.”
The Simpsons executive producer Al Jean describes Odenkirk’s character: “He charges by the minute so he speaks… really… slowly,” says of the character. “He just wants money for talking to Fat Tony.”
Per Entertainment Weekly, the episode involves sting operation and the Simpsons patriarch. “Homer is the mark because he’s got such a big butt so he’s a good target for pickpocketing,” explains Jean. “Fat Tony is arrested but he didn’t do it — and he has to find out who did do it.”
Season 31 of The Simpsons debuts in September.
