Brad Falchuk Inks Overall Deal at Netflix

Brad Falchuk is making the move from a traditional studio to the streaming giant. 

Multiple outlets report that the Glee, American Horror Story and American Crime Story executive producer has inked a massive overall deal with Netflix. So massive that according to sources the deal is in the high eight figures.

The writer-producer Ryan Murphy and Shonda Rhimes who also recently made the move, opting for Netflix rather than a traditional studio. 

Under the deal, Falchuk will develop, write, produce and direct new series for Netflix through his Brad Falchuk Teley-Vision banner.

“I have spent my career creating shows that bounce between different genres and tones and I plan on continuing to develop and create programing that spans a wide variety of worlds and formats,” Falchuk said. “During my first meeting with Netflix, they told me – just bring us stories you’re passionate about and we will find a way to help you tell them. That level of support and freedom is inspiring to me.”

Falchuk’s deal with 20th Century Fox Television expires June 1.
