Brad Pitt will be starring in Sony Pictures’ action-thriller Bullet Train.

David Leitch, the director of Deadpool 2 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Snow, will direct the script which is based on the Japanese novel Maria Bettle by Kotaro Isaka.

The novel features five assassins that are on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops between them. On the train, they find out that their missions aren’t related to each other. So, who will make it off the train alive, and what awaits them once they reach the terminal station?

Pitt recently won an Oscar for his role as Cliff Booth in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood and since then he’s been taking his time finding his next project. He can be seen in the James Gray sci-fi drama Ad Astra which was released in 2019. Pitt’s also set to co-star with Emma Stone in Babylon which will start production in 2021.
