The directing bug seems to have bitten Bradley Cooper.

The 44-year-old actor stepped behind the camera for the first time on A Star Is Born for which he has received much acclaim and award recognition.

So far, he has been nominated for a Golden Globe, Directors Guild of America award, and BAFTA, as well as having been honoured by the National Board of Review.

So what’s next for the Philadelphia native? (Besides an expected Oscar nomination…)

Bradley told Variety that he already knows his next directing project.

“I’d say with this one, there’s a tremendous amount of pressure that I just put on myself because I just want to grow and get better,” he said. “Luckily, I feel something — a story I want to tell — so once that happens, I can’t avoid it. I have to go for it.”

Despite not sharing many details, the filmmaker did say, “I think I’ll be acting in it, yeah. I love [acting and directing] together. I really do.”

A star has definitely been born.
