After years of friendship, Bradley Cooper and Will Arnett are ready to strengthen their bond even more by developing a new movie by each other’s side. The duo will star in Searchlight’s upcoming film Is This Thing On? with Cooper directing and Arnett co-writing the script.

Arnett penned the script alongside Mark Chappell and turned in a draft before the WGA strike. Cooper will most likely work on a new draft, as well, in addition to directing the film and producing it through his Lea Pictures banner, along with Arnett and Kris Thykier. Plot details are yet to be revealed, but we’ll most likely learn more in the upcoming weeks.

Cooper knocked it out of the park with his directorial debut A Star Is Born in 2018, which received eight Academy Awards nominations, including a nod for best picture. He’ll soon star in his second directorial effort Maestro, which focuses on the life of the famed composer Leonard Bernstein. He also recently returned to voice Rocket in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

As for Will Arnett, the Emmy-nominated star of Arrested Development and BoJack Horseman made a shift to hosting in recent years. On the acting side, we’ve recently seen him lead Netflix’s murder-mystery comedy Murderville, and he’ll soon star in Taika Waititi’s upcoming film Next Goal Wins.
