Britney Spears wishes she could’ve grown up in a different country — if her preferred accent is anything to go by.

Unfortunately, for the Louisiana native, she’s as American as they come.

But that doesn’t mean the “Hold It Against Me” singer can’t embrace her inner Brit (see what we did there?)

It’s no secret that Britney loves speaking in an English accent, as demonstrated on an English radio show in 2013, as well as while chatting to the paparazzi on a late-night run to the pharmacy.

So, when she performed at London’s O2 Arena as part of her Pieces of Me tour, the 36-year-old slipped into a cockney accent when addressing the crowd.

“I just want to check you guys out for a second and see which side of the audience is the loudest,” she said. “Let’s start with the right side first. Are you guys ready? Do you think you can do this? 1… 2… 3.”

It appeared, though, that she wasn’t too impressed with the left side, jokingly saying, “What the hell is wrong with you? You’ve gotta do better than that. Let’s try it again, Jesus Christ.”

Right’o, Brit!
