Fox’s adaptation of the Australian series Sisters has found its female lead with Pitch Perfect alum Brittany Snow set to star in the still untitled project

The Australian series, which starred Maria Angelico as lead Julia Bechly premiered its seven-episode first season in October 2017. It was then launched on Netflix in September 2018.

The pilot hails from Annie Weisman and Jason Katims. Weisman will write and executive produce the pilot and Katims will exec produce. Leslye Headland will direct the pilot.

The series follows only child Julia Bechley, played by Snow, as her life is turned upside down when she reveals that her father, a pioneering Nobel Prize-winning fertility doctor, used his own sperm to conceive dozens of children over the course of his career. Julia discovers a sea of brothers, but only two sisters — her former best friend and an ex-Olympic athlete, and the three women quickly become a part of a new redefined and untraditional family.

Snow’s other TV credits include American Dreams, Nip/Tuck, and Guiding Light.
