BTS has been setting new records with their latest single “Butter” since the first day it came out, and they’re showing no signs of stopping. A month after its release, this catchy song continues its reign atop the Billboard Hot 100, and it’s currently the band’s longest-running no. 1 hit.

“Butter” debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart after it came out on May 21st and it hasn’t left the no. 1 spot ever since. With four weeks atop the chart, this is the band’s longest-running no. 1 hit, breaking the three-week record previously held by “Dynamite”.

The hot 100 isn’t the only Billboard chart that “Butter” is ruling this week. It also added its fourth frame atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, and hit the no. 1 spot on Billboard’s annual Songs of the Summer chart, which made a comeback this week.

“Butter” was a bona fide smash hit before it even made it to the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following its release on May 21st, this song set YouTube’s record for the most viewed video in the first 24 hours, with approximately 108.2 million people tuning in to watch it.
