We’re used to BTS setting new viewing records every time they drop a new song, and they managed to do it once again. Their highly-anticipated single “Dynamite” is here, and it broke two major YouTube records in a single day.

“Dynamite” came out on August 21st and millions of fans around the world tuned in for its premiere. YouTube reported that between 3 and 4 million fans watched it live, making it the most-viewed premiere video in the history of this platform.

As if that wasn’t enough, “Dynamite” also set the record for the most-viewed video in the first 24 hours, with about 98.3 million views. This record was previously held by Blackpink’s recent video for “How You Like That”, which racked up 86.3 million views in the first 24 hours.

“Dynamite” is BTS’s first single recorded entirely in English, and it serves as the lead single from their upcoming album, set to come out later this year. Before sharing the entire album with the world, they wanted to surprise their fans with this song, in the hope it will lift their spirit.
