BTS set several major YouTube and Spotify records with their latest single “Butter” and it was just a matter of time before this song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart. That moment is finally here, as K-pop band scored their fourth no. 1 single in the U.S. with “Butter”.

This triumph was expected after BTS’s latest single became the most-viewed YouTube music video in its first 24 hours and most streamed track on Spotify during the same time period. As Billboard reports, “Butter” drew 32.2 million U.S. streams, 242,800 downloads, and 18.1 million radio airplay audience impressions during its first week on the chart.

“Butter” is the K-pop act’s fourth no. 1 single in the U.S., following the remix of “Savage Love” with Jawsh 685 and Jason Derulo, and solo songs “Dynamite” and “Life Goes On”. BTS is the first band with three no. 1 debuts on the Hot 100 chart and the fastest act to accumulate four chart-topping singles since Justin Timberlake back in 2006-07.

BTS wasn’t the only act to find enormous success at this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart. Olivia Rodrigo made history as the first artist to simultaneously chart three songs from her debut album in the top 10 with “Good 4 U,” “Deja Vu”, and “Traitor”, following the success of her breakout hit “Drivers License”, which spent eight weeks atop the chart.
