Korean sensation BTS made history earlier this year by becoming the first K-pop act to receive a Grammy Award nomination. The group was nominated in the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category for their single “Dynamite,” but ended up losing to Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s collab “Rain On Me”

The boy band shared their feelings about the loss during a recent appearance on You Quiz On The Block talk show, with V saying that “being nominated itself was great” and that the experience will serve as “a driving force for becoming better.”

Suga added that BTS intends “to be active as singers for a long time” and still hope to win Grammy at some point.

“It’s difficult of course, but perhaps next year, or the year after or before the end of our career, we want to get a Grammy,” Suga explained.

Despite not being among the winners, BTS still put on a spectacle for the 2020 Grammy Awards ceremony. The group recreated the Grammys stage in their native Korea and delivered an impressive performance of “Dynamite.” Check it out below.

BTS had a strong start of 2021, being named Global Recording Artist of the Year by IFPI. They also took home several other awards and honors, including two American Music Awards and three Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards.
