James Masters, the actor who played Spike in the Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV series has revealed that he would reprise his role as the infamous vampire—but he has conditions.

Masters played the platinum-haired punk vampire in the original “Buffy” series. Spike entered the series as a supervillain and his storyline eventually lead to him becoming one of the most-loved characters on the show.

More than twenty years on, during an interview with Inside of You, host Michael Rosenbaum asked Masters whether he would ever consider reprising his role.

“I told Joss, whether it’s one line or 50, I’d come, no matter where I was in the world,” Marsters told Inside of You. “But if he wanted to film me doing Spike, he had seven years, because I’m aging and Spike’s a vampire, and I don’t want to play an aged Spike…

“If there was a way, or if Spike was always in vampire face. Then that might work.”

Buffy The Vampire Slayer is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime.
