Camila Cabello gave us one of the best songs of the summer with her Shawn Mendes collaboration “Señorita” and that’s apparently not all she has in store. The young singer recently detailed her upcoming sophomore album and promised it will be “a million times better” than her first.
Cabello discussed her future plans in Variety’s the recent “Power of Young Hollywood” feature and said she wrote the follow-up to her debut album while she was falling in love.
“Falling in love is like an infinite amount of levels and layers and angles. I fell in love and just opened up. Everything was written in the present moment,” the young singer told Variety.
Camila Cabello also believes she grew a lot as a songwriter, and she’s learning to follow her instincts, instead of letting other people’s opinions affect her music. She’s no longer going around and asking other people what they think, she’s listening to her inner voice instead.
Judging by what we’ve heard so far, this strategy is really paying off and we can’t wait to hear what she has in store when her new album finally hits the shelves.
