Most celebrities make a big fuss over their wedding, but not Cardi B! The “Bodak Yellow” singer confirmed she and Offset tied the knot in September, during a secret ceremony in Atlanta.
There’s been a lot of rumors flying around after TMZ leaked their supposed marriage license and Cardi B decided to face the music. She posted a note on Twitter confirming she got hitched with the Migos singer last September. Cardi started by saying her new album was called Invasion of Privacy for a reason. She got sick of people who are nosy about her life and decided to let everything out.
“There are so many moments that I share with the world and there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing to do but we was so in love we didn’t want to lose each other,” she tweeted on Monday.
Cardi B went on to describe their secret ceremony that took place a month before their public engagement in October. According to the Grammy-nominated singer, they just woke up one morning and decided to do it. She said “Yes” with no dress, no make-up and no ring, but it was still a moment she’ll always remember. Cardi B finished the tweet by writing people can finally stop saying she “had a baby out of wedlock”. The rapper announced her pregnancy during her SNL performance in April and she’s due to give birth next month.
