If SATC‘s Carrie Bradshaw and Aidan Shaw are one of your favorite TV couples, we’ve got some good news for you. The first look at Season 2 of the revival show And Just Like That… is here, and it sees the duo finally reunited.

In the first look at the show’s second season, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aiden (John Corbett) are strolling through Manhattan, hand in hand. After several failed attempts to make their relationship work, they’re ready to give it another try.

Many fans expected Aidan to make an appearance during the show’s first season, but executive producer Michael Patrick King felt it was unnecessary because Carrie was already dealing with too much.

“We wanted to get her through [Big’s death] and into the light—the last episode is called, ‘Seeing the Light.’ We wanted to get her out. [Aidan’s return] is a big storyline that everybody at home wrote that we had never intended,” he told Deadline.

In addition to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) also returned in And Just Like That… while Samantha isn’t featured in the series after Kim Cattrall refused to get involved. The second season still doesn’t have a release date, but it will most likely premiere on HBO Max later this year.
