Carrie Coon’s collaboration with HBO is a gift that keeps on giving, and she’ll soon appear in one of their most beloved 2020s shows. The Gilded Age star has been cast in the mystery role in the highly-anticipated third season of Mike White’s anthology series The White Lotus.

Coon will be joining the ranks of Leslie Bibb, Jason Isaacs, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Dom Hetrakul, and Tayme Thapthimthong, who have recently checked into The White Lotus for Season 3. Natasha Rothwell will also be around, reprising the role of the kind-hearted spa manager Belinda from Season 1.

The names of the ensemble’s characters remain a mystery for now, but we know that Season 3 will feature a multi-generational group, including a patriarch, a female corporate executive, an actress, a couple of mothers, including a country club wife, a misfit, and a yogi. Production is set to kick off next month in Thailand.

Coon is the perfect addition to the cast, given her amazing track record with HBO. She got her big break with the role in the network’s criminally underrated drama The Leftovers, before leading the ongoing period drama The Gilded Age. Her filmography also includes an Emmy-nominated role in Fargo, David Fincher’s Gone Girl, and the Ghostbusters franchise.
