Carrie Coon and Finn Wolfhard are in talks to join Ghostbusters as a mother-son duo.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the story of the new Ghostbusters installment at Sony is said to focus on a single mom and her family. While very little is known about the story, it is known that the filmmakers are still working on casting the rest of the family. The film is also said to ignore Paul Feig’s 2016 female-led film.

The forthcoming feature is helmed by Jason Reitman who is the son of original Ghostbusters helmer, Ivan Reitman. Jason also co-wrote the script with Gil Kenan and is set to produce.

The movie is set to go into production this summer and is due in theaters July 2020.

Coon’s credits include Fargo and The Leftovers. Finn Wolfhard is best known for his role in Stranger Things.
