Carrie Underwood has been giving us nothing but happy news this year, and the latest one is the best one yet. Country princess just received one of the biggest honors an artist of her caliber can get – her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

One of the fellow artists present during Underwood’s ceremony was country star Brad Paisley, who described her as this generation’s Dolly Parton. Her American Idol mentor Simon Cowell also wouldn’t miss this for the world – he was the one who presented her with the star!

The famous producer said his world turned into full color the moment Carrie Underwood walked in. He could say she’s going to do great thing, but couldn’t have predicted the magnitude of success she’s going to achieve.

“You had such an impact on the show, and had so many people come up to me and say ‘I would like a tenth of the success Carrie has.’ I actually couldn’t be more proud of you for presenting you this and you did it your way… I love you and you are a total, total star.” said Cowell.

Underwood’s family was also there to support her, and she used the opportunity to thank her husband Mike Fisher and son Isaiah Michael for believing in her and supporting her every step of the way.
