Congratulations are in order for country singer Carrie Underwood and husband Mike Fisher. The seven-time Grammy winner announced she’s expecting her second child with the NHL player.
The singer announced her pregnancy in a sweet video she posted on Twitter and Instagram. She kicked things off by sharing important information about her upcoming album Cry Pretty, but the short clip quickly turned into something else. Underwood ended up revealing golden balloons, spelling out the word “BABY”.
“You might be wondering or asking, ‘Carrie, why is your tour starting in May?’ Well… Yay! Mike and Isaiah and I are absolutely over the moon and excited to be adding another little fish to our pond,” said American Idol winner.
Underwood and Fisher met in 2008 after one of her concerts. They tied the knot two years later in a beautiful ceremony, with more than 250 people in attendance. The couple welcomed their first son Isaiah Michael Fisher in February 2015.
Being a mom isn’t easy when you have a hectic schedule, but the young singer is making it work. “It’s definitely a balancing act. I have help because someone has to watch Isaiah when I’m on stage, but we live a lot more on the bus now instead of going in and out of hotels. My bus is outfitted for him — he has a crib in the back, and everything is safe there,” Underwood told PEOPLE back in 2016.
