It’s been a while since Catherine Zeta-Jones sunk her teeth into a juicy TV role, and her next project sounds right up her alley. She’s set to join Michael Sheen in the second season of the serial-killer drama series Prodigal Son.

This crime show centers on Malcolm Bright (Tom Payne), a criminal psychologist with a special talent to view crimes from the killer’s perspective. Part of the reason why he possesses this ability is the fact his father was the infamous serial killer known as “The Surgeon”.

Michael Sheen will return to the role of Bright’s father, who’s currently serving a sentence in an asylum. Zeta-Jones will join him in the role of Dr. Vivian Capshaw, who works at the Claremont Psychiatric Hospital.

Fox’s president of entertainment Michael Thorn announced her casting and set high expectations for her on-screen pairing with Sheen. “An extraordinary talent, Catherine Zeta-Jones is the perfect foil for the brilliant Michael Sheen. I can’t wait to see these two greats go head-to-head in a season that is bound to raise the bar set by an outstanding Season One,” said Thorn in a statement.
