Facebook will try to break into the streaming service realm with its platform Facebook Watch, which already has some exciting shows coming our way in the near future. One of them is Catherine Zeta-Jones’ dark comedy Queen America, which recently received the first trailer. Facebook also announced that the 10-episode series would get its premiere on Wednesday, November 21.

Queen America will see Catherine Zeta-Jones starring as Vicki Ellis, “the most renowned (and ruthless) pageant coach in the state,” who gets a difficult task of turning a “beautiful but unpolished” young woman Samantha (Belle Shouse) into a beauty pageant winner.
You can check out the trailer below.

Queen America was created by Meaghan Oppenheimer (Fear The Walking Dead), who also serves as writer and executive producer. Besides Zeta-Jones and Shouse, the cast also includes Judith Light, Teagle Bougere, Jennifer Westfeldt, Victoria Justice, Rana Roy, Isabella Amara, Molly Price, and Megan West.

This Facebook Watch project presents a continuation of Catherine Zeta-Jones’ return to television. Recently she also had a recurring role in Ryan Murphy’s anthology Feud, which was her first role on television in more than 20 years. She was less active in the film business, filming her last movie back in 2016.
