CBS Renews “Evil” for Its Second Season

Katja Herbers and De'Adre Aziza in "Evil"

CBS gave us several new TV shows this season, but supernatural drama Evil was the one that resonated the best with their audience, and they’re ready to bring it back for another season.

This intriguing series centers on a clinical psychologist who teams up with a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor to investigate supposed supernatural incidents, and discover if there’s a scientific explanation behind any of them.

Evil stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi. It has premiered on CBS this fall, alongside courtroom drama All Rise and the comedies Bob Hearts Abishola, Carol’s Second Act and The Unicorn. The network is putting full trust in all of them after a solid performance, and expanding their run for an unspecified number of episodes.

“These terrific new series have attracted a passionate base of viewers and consistent ratings while delivering entertaining, inclusive and relevant storytelling every week. We’re proud of this freshman class and excited about their potential to tell more great stories and further expand their audiences.” said CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl in a statement.
