Céline Dion really kept us waiting for her new album, and it was definitely worth it. She finally returned into our lives with Courage, and it became her first album to top the Billboard 200 chart in 17 years!

Courage hit the shelves on November 15th, and it previously gave us several hit singles including “Flying on My Own,” “Imperfections,” “Lying Down,” and the title track “Courage”. It’s her first album to top the charts in the US since 2002 when A New Day Has Come accomplished that same feat.

Courage is also the first record she released since her husband and long-term managed passed away in 2016. Their love is always in the back of her mind, and he served as the main inspiration for the songs featured on this album. “Courage was representing the whole losing my husband, losing my manager, my kids losing their father and to find the strength to keep going because I wanted to,” Dion said while discussing her new album on Today.
