Channing Tatum and Sandra Bullock both starred in their fair share of romantic comedies, and they’re finally ready to appear in one together. Tatum is in final talks to join Bullock in The Lost City of D.

This promising movie has been compared to Romancing the Stone, and it centers on a reclusive romance novelist who finds herself stuck on a book tour with her cover model. Things go sideways after a kidnapping attempt, which sweeps them into a cutthroat jungle adventure that’s straight out of an epic novel.

In addition to playing the lead role, Bullock will also be producing the film via her production company Fortis Films. Adam and Aaron Nee will be in charge of directing, while Dana Fox wrote the screenplay based on an idea by Seth Gordon.

Before joining Bullock in The Lost City of D, Tatum scored roles in several more promising projects, coming our way in the next year or two. He’s set to star in family road trip comedy Dog, in addition to appearing in musical comedy Wingmen alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
