It’s been a while since we’ve seen Channing Tatum on the big screen, but he’s ready to return into our lives. The famous actor landed the lead role in the upcoming drama Soundtrack of Silence, and he’ll also serve as one of the producers.

This project will see Tatum teaming up with Dear John‘s screenwriter Jamie Linden and it tells the story of a college student, who decides to memorize his favorite songs in order to preserve his most precious memories after learning he’s going deaf.

Soundtrack of Silence is based on a true story reported by KQED, which chronicled the incredible journey of Matt and Nora Hay. Paramount Pictures is developing this project, and they’re still on the lookout for director and supporting cast.

Tatum recently starred in the animated movies Smallfoot and The Lego Movie 2, but we haven’t had a chance to see him on the big screen since 2017 when he appeared in Logan Lucky and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

The actor recently announced he’s taking a break from social media because he’s trying to “get inspired to create again.” It seems like this strategy is working since he has several promising projects lined up, including action comedy Free Guy starring Ryan Reynolds.
