Paul Feig’s The School for Good and Evil has added Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington to its cast for the upcoming Netflix film.

The film is based on a young adult novel by Soman Chainani which follows best friends Sophie and Agatha, who are kidnapped to the School for Good and Evil. The fortunes are reversed and their friendship is tested as they try to return home.

Washington will play Professor Dovey and Theron is playing Lady Lesso, two looming figures at the school.

“I know what school I’m applying to,” Feig tweeted, announcing the casting news. “So thrilled to welcome Charlize Theron and Kerry Washington to the School for Good and Evil! Everyone, prepare to get schooled!”

Feig’s credits include Freaks and Geeks, Bridesmaids, A Simple Favor, and The Heat.

Washington’s recent credits include Ryan Murphy’s The Prom, American Son, and Little Fires Everywhere. Theron recently starred in The Old Guard, Bombshell, and Long Shot.

The School for Good and Evil is set for a 2022 Netflix release.
