Chelsea Handler did a pretty good job hosting the latest edition of the Critics’ Choice Awards, and she’s gearing up for another ride. The famous comedienne will serve as the host for the second year in a row when the Critics’ Choice Awards return this winter.

Handler took over from the four-time host Taye Diggs at the most recent Critics’ Choice Awards ceremony, and she can’t wait to give it another go.

“I am very happy and excited to be hosting the Critics Choice Awards again this year, as last year was one of the most fun nights I’ve had. There is no greater reward than making fun of actors and then getting d—- with them afterward. It’s an honor,” said Handler in a statement.

Handler is best known as the host of her talk shows Chelsea Lately on the E! and Chelsea on Netflix. She went on to appear in several comedy specials and most recently guest-hosted The Daily Show following Trevor Noah’s departure.

The 29th Critics Choice Awards will take place on January 14, 2024, and will air live on The CW. Nominations in the TV field will be announced on December 5, while the contenders in the film categories are set to be unveiled on December 13.
