Emily Blunt is set to lead the upcoming Netflix drama Pain Hustlers and she’ll be in pretty good company. Chris Evans is in talks to join the project in a mystery role, marking the first collaboration between him and Blunt.

Netflix landed this project at Cannes for a reported sum of $50 million. David Yates, best known for his work on the Harry Potter franchise, is coming on board as a director, while Wells Tower wrote the script.

Pain Hustlers centers on a high-school dropout Liza Drake, who uses her charm, guts, and drive to catapult a failing pharmaceutical startup to success, before finding herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences.

This film marks the first collaboration between Blunt and Evans, but they came very close to working together on several occasions. Blunt famously passed on the role of Black Widow in the MCU, played by Scarlett Johansson, while Evans was attached to star in her film The Girl on the Train in 2016 before dropping out due to scheduling conflicts.

Evans is no stranger to collaboration with Netflix, and this won’t be his first project with the streamer—we’ll soon get to see him in The Gray Man, also starring Ryan Gosling and Ana de Armas.
