Chris Hemsworth, who portrays Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has finished filming his scenes for the Avengers 4, which means he fulfilled his obligations towards Marvel Studios. His contract with the studios has now ended, and the untitled Avengers: Infinity War sequel might be the last time we see the same group of actors portraying the Marvel’s superheroes. Still, in a recent interview with IGN, Chris Hemsworth said he would love to carry on with portraying the character.

“If I had the opportunity to do it again, I think I’d love to.” said Hemsworth about returning to the role of Thor. “I also think there’s an appetite for it now, or there’s a far greater range of possibilities of where he can go now, what he can do, just because we’ve kind of broken the mold a bit.”

Hemsworth also discussed the multiple changes he brought to the character, saying that Thor was reinvented a number of times in the past movies and that will continue in the two upcoming Avengers movies.

“After this last experience with Taika, and actually these last two Avengers, I feel like we’ve reinvented the character a number of times – even in these next two, he evolves again, and you don’t get that opportunity often in a franchise. So, I definitely feel a renewed sense of excitement and enthusiasm, and more so than ever, I think.” he added.

While Avengers: Infinity War is set for release in May 2018 we had a chance to see Chris Hemsworth in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok. The movie received positive reviews from the critics and was labeled as the best movie in the Thor trilogy. It also had a strong performance at the box office, grossing over $850 million.
